Trønderlag of America is excited to offer a
customized tour to Norway in June 2010. Air transportation is via
Icelandair, departing on June 16 from Minneapolis to Værnes, the Trondheim
regional airport.
The land tour begins Friday, June 18 in Steinkjer,
Norway ... a city in Nord-Trøndelag (just north of Trondheim). We will
continue north to the Artic Circle in time for the Summer Solstice. There
is a link to the complete Itinerary below. The tour will end in Trondheim.
The Lag will try to assist members in contacting relatives and direct them
to resources in Trondheim for genealogical research. Please contact
President Robert Fossum (president @ tronderlag.org) if you need
assistance.
Travel arrangements have been made with Frode Lindberg of Kystriksveien
Reiseliv in Norway and Donna Anderson of Suzi Davis Travel in Champaign,
IL. We have reserved thirty (30) air spaces for return on July 1 and
ten (10) for
return on June 28.
Registrations are currently being accepted. A deposit of
$220 per person is required to hold a place. Optional travel insurance is
available and recommended.
